"The artist is also a born adventurer. His explorations, unlike those of the tourist, are rewarded by the discovery of beauty spots unmentioned in the guide books, and with tireless curiosity and an exceptional proneness to wonderment, he will come upon objects of remarkable interest overlooked or even shunned by more disciplined observers."

An unusual view of the waterfall, normally the fall is shown from a viewpoint a little further down the river which shows the full width of the waterfall to it's best effect. However, my viewpoint was chosen by the weather. On the day I went there was a heavy drizzle which soaked everything through within minutes and the only viewpoint offering any sort of dry shelter from which to make my sketch was close under the right hand side of the cliff beneath a small overhang. Not ideal as from this viewpoint the vast bulk of the fall is hidden behind the right hand cliff.
